moments in time

It’s a funny thing when watching a time lapes , We slips into a hipper space experiences , A long stretch of time compress in to just a few moments . A beautiful thing  , to watch and see the movement of the world open up in front of you . But shooting a time lapes forces  you to slow down , Today I sat for 3 hours filming a Lotus  flower opening . The warm breezes  coming of the River of kings felt amazing ,haveing the time to enjoy it even more so ..   Being here in Thailand gives me the time  to separate my self from the constant struggle to stay afloat in NY .. Here I can explore things ! I do not have time for or do not make the time for back home. 

I am trying to change .

So I cut togther some time lapes I have shoot . To remind us that life is short  and TIME  is the only thing we really own. Use it for what ever it is that you love and take the time to feel the breezes .http://

And if Han Solo need a part for the Millennium Falcon , he could find it at JATUKAK.
This week-end market was everything from the smallest piece of s…t too the most amazing hand-made custom hard wood furniture Need a thousand-year old Buddhas or live coral this is the place..
If you can imagine this place , 26 acres with more than 8000 indoor and out-door shops.
I have been there 15 times , only to scratch the surface , and i still get lost. in the process .
It can be over welling , but its worth it .
Don’t try to see it all in one day, just take it in and pick up some good bargains . and if you need something special, there are shippers ready to transport that full size Elephant back home.
(This is a top-secret )
The best fried chicken ever , east, west, north or south is at JATUKAK you do not have to BELIVE me , In fact do not , I do not want to wait on line next week-end .
But if you happen be in this part of the galaxy . Come and makes history for your taste buds. It’s on (area 10 )

AN ARMY runs on its coffee

On the film set,I always say that theirs are 3 rules , one is that an army runs on its coffee, two and three are for a different post.
Well with a city of over 8 million , their better be a few good cups to be had.
On the street you will find small coffee venders all round Thailand . My go place for that morning cup of Joe is ” The Tea Pot” . This little women is a dynamo ,who make great coffee, hot or over ice , Thai style or cafe boron , It strong and o so good . and for just 13 Bath it a great value. Dine in on a few small tables or You can get it to go in a plastic cup for 2 Bath more ,but we prefer the plastic bag for our ice coffee or tea which keeps the price at 13 Bath.
Remember the Thai coffee is made with condense milk ,which is sweat ,so let them know what like it.

songkran Thai New Year

Thai New Year the biggest water fight on this side of the galaxy .
4 days worth.
This holiday tradition is to pour water on someone, it is a blessing too them and yourself (the white power put on your checks has the same meaning). The great things about Songkrm is Bangkok is quiet for the 4 days.
Like NYC in the summer when everyone leaves for the beach .
But it is alive with some street closed for the fun .
Music ,DJ ,dancing . and food of course .
Its summer here and with the hi in the 98 range a water festival great way to cool off .

Jet Lag Bangkok 3am full moon

DCIM101GOPROThe one thing about traveling to the far side of the plant that i have not been abel to master or come to some kind of turns with is the jet lag.
No matter what we do, it still has a mystical power over me and Nit . It is 3am and for the third night in a row , we wake up around 2am , eat something ( great all night street food ) or just hangout talking and waiting for the Advil pm to work ( but not tonight) .the Advil only helps a little so why fight it .
I know it will take a week for our body to adjust , so for now i think we will just go with the flow and enjoy being a little out of sync .But their is something amazing about just siting out overlooking this sleeping city.
And for the days their is always RED BULL…
